DCC 6.5
New Features
IG-2247 Implement Tree Structure in Reports Menu
Release notes
The Reports menu has been updated to replace the previous flat list with a tree structure, providing a clearer and more scalable way to organize reports. Reports are now displayed in a hierarchical structure with expand and collapse functionality, improving navigation and usability while maintaining a clear visual hierarchy. Existing reports have been migrated to fit the new structure without changing their content or availability.
IG-2255 Automatically open single schema on device without extra clicks
Release notes
If a device has only a single applied schema, such as an Alert Group, Data Refinement Group, or Report, it is now opened automatically when the device is selected and the Configuration Schema has focus. This removes the need for additional clicks and makes it faster to browse devices and immediately view configuration details within the Configuration Schema tab.
IG-2264 Data Refinement Group Usage Overview
Release notes
Working with Data Refinement Groups (DRGs) is now safer and more transparent. You can now easily see where DRGs are being used before making changes. A DRG now includes three new overview tabs:
- Attached Devices. You can now see which devices are using the DRG, with direct links allowing you to open the selected device instantly.
- Attached Dashboards. You can see which dashboards use the DRG, including Direct links to open each dashboard and Information about which widgets in the dashboard use the DRG.
- Inherited Companies. You can see which sub-companies inherit the DRG, giving full visibility across company hierarchies.
IG-2272 Improved search for Data Refinement Groups in sub-companies
Release notes
The search function for the Date Refinement Groups tree menu has been improved, so that searching for groups or fields also applies for sub-companies.
IG-2279 Upload of offline data to a device
Release notes
Enterprise customers can now upload historical CSV data files directly to devices in DCC, enabling analysis of machine data even when equipment has never been connected to the Internet.
The feature is primarily intended for service and troubleshooting scenarios, where technicians copy data locally from machine dataloggers and upload it to DCC for rapid on-site analysis. It can also support migration of historical data from other platforms when exported in the supported CSV format.
Key Capabilities
- Admin users can upload multiple CSV data files via DCC.
- Data can be uploaded to an existing device or to a newly created MQTT device.
- New Device Type "Offline device" can be created specifically when no live connectivity is expected.
- Sample points are automatically matched or created from CSV headers.
- Newest data is processed first to make recent data available quickly.
- Upload operations are logged.
Limitations (MVP1)
- Uploaded data cannot currently be deleted or undone.
- Re-uploading the same file duplicates data.
- Historical uploads require dashboard or viewer refresh to appear.
- SiteManager devices are not supported.
- Configuration overlaps and backfilling older data with new tags are not supported.
For CSV formatting details and recommended usage, please refer to product documentation or contact Inuatek support.
IG-2280 Data Refinement Group Inheritance via Drag & Drop
Release notes
Administrators can now inherit Data Refinement Groups by simply dragging a DRG onto a sub-company in the DRG menu. The DRG will automatically become available to the target company without needing manual configuration in company settings. This represent several improvements:
- Drag-and-drop inheritance replaces manual DRG assignment.
- The DRG inheritance selector has been removed from Company Details, and replaced with a link to the DRG menu to aid the people being used to that.
- Inheritance indicators now match those used in Nextgen Dashboards for consistent visual feedback.
- Fixes an issue where parent companies could not see DRGs inherited to deeper sub-company levels via intermediate companies.
- Sub-company administrators can:
- Further inherit DRGs to their own sub-companies.
- View DRGs inherited from higher-level companies.
- Remove DRGs applied to their sub-companies, even if inherited from above.
This update makes DRG management faster, clearer, and more scalable across multi-level company structures.
IG-2283 Allow privileged dashboard users to manage recipients for Alert Groups applied to devices
Release notes
Privileged dashboard users and dashboard designers can now manage recipients for Alert Groups already applied to devices, making it easier to route alerts to relevant local staff without requiring full configuration access. These users can add or edit recipient email addresses for scheduled Alert Groups directly on devices, including support for entering multiple email addresses separated by semicolons.
While recipients can now be managed by these roles, they still cannot create, edit, or apply Alert Groups, nor can they view Alert Group contents or manage Recipient Groups, ensuring configuration control remains restricted to administrative roles.
IG-2289 Add event logging on MQTT-BROKER (historical and realtime)
Release notes
Event logging has been added to the MQTT broker to improve visibility when configuring and connecting MQTT devices to DCC. The system can now generate events linked to specific devices, making it easier to identify and troubleshoot connection and configuration issues.
Events are triggered for scenarios such as certificate errors, license errors, topic configuration issues, and successful connections following previous connection failures. Successful connection events are only generated when they represent recovery after an error, preventing repeated events during stable operation.
All generated events are categorized by type and are only created when a valid device context is available, ensuring events are correctly associated with the relevant device.
IG-2307 Enable reports in Group Bundles
Release notes
You can now add reports to new and existing Group Bundles, streamlining the device provisioning process. This update ensures consistency with how reports are managed for individual devices and other bundle types.
IG-2313 Fix auto font size for List-widget
Release notes
The List Widget has been improved to better adapt to different screen sizes through enhanced automatic font scaling. A new "Dynamic rows" option has also been added in the widget’s List settings, allowing the widget to automatically adjust row count and sizing to fit the available widget dimensions for improved responsiveness and readability.
IG-2314 Add data refinement to event-view + combine with new Event counter widget
Release notes
The Event View widget has been extended to support Data Refinement sources and has been combined with new accumulated event capabilities into a single, unified Event Widget. This allows events originating from both regular data sources and Data Refinement bit translations to be visualized consistently.
The updated widget now supports multiple view modes, enabling users to switch between a traditional event list, an accumulated bar chart, and an accumulated table view showing current or latest event states. Configuration options allow users to control how events and refined data are displayed, including selection of visible columns, handling of translations, and display formatting.
This update also enables events derived from Data Refinement groups to be used directly in event views, providing improved flexibility when working with translated alarm or event data across dashboards.
IG-2318 Option to select smart-timestamp or whole timestamp on show-timestramp widgets
Release notes
Widgets that support timestamp display, such as Value and Gauge widgets, now allow dashboard designers to choose how timestamps are shown. In addition to the existing smart timestamp behavior, which adapts the displayed time information based on the selected time range to reduce space usage, designers can now select a full timestamp option that always shows the complete date and time.
This option is available in the widget settings for all supported widgets and includes explanatory tooltips to clarify the difference between smart and full timestamp display.
IG-2319 Report Enhancements
Release notes
Updates include a standardized naming convention with machine names prominently displayed in email subjects and filenames for faster tracking and sorting.
IG-2321 Remote Access Widget Visual Customization
Release notes
The Remote Access Widget now supports visual customization, allowing developers to better match the widget to site branding. It is now possible to replace the default “Open new window” or "Connect" text with custom text, hide the default circular background style, and use a custom image or icon as the clickable element.
IG-2322 List widget - Make sorting follow the flow other table widgets have
Release notes
The List Widget has been updated so that sorting now follows the same behavior as other table-based widgets. Sorting is handled directly through the table headers instead of a separate sort button, providing a more consistent user experience across widgets and improving layout behavior, particularly on mobile devices.
IG-2324 Disable Picture Widget on Mobile
Release notes
A new configuration option in the Picture Widget General settings allows administrators to disable the Picture Widget when a site is viewed on mobile devices. This helps prevent layout issues that can occur on smartphones due to drag-and-drop positioning of sample points within the widget. When enabled, the Picture Widget and its associated sample point elements are automatically hidden on mobile viewports while remaining fully functional on desktop and tablet devices, ensuring improved layout stability and usability on smaller screens.
IG-2327 Tree usability improvement
Release notes
This release brings a number of usability improvements when navigating the left menu and using the tree functions:
1. Now the expanded/collapsed state of tree nodes are preserved for a given menu when selecting another menu, and returning to the menu
2. In relation to the above, the selected filter and entered search text are also preserved.
3. New filter selections have been introduced in various tree menus
Bug Fixes
IG-2252 Clear Indication of strings in the data viewer
Release notes
Before, showing a sample point with type String, would show a blank chart for the time window, and only by dragging the mouse across the chart, it would reveal the string. Now received strings are indicated by a vertical dotted line, which clearly indicates the number of strings and their time stamp within the selected time window. Still when hovering over a specific line, the tool tip will show the exact time stamp and the string value. Together with this feature, a fix was made for a scenario when only a single sample point exist within the time window, which could cause the bottom time selector to behave strangely.
IG-2273 Clicking on Configure on a Data Refinement Group applied to a device, just brings you to the DRG menu
Release notes
Before when clicking the Configure button on a Data Refinement Group applied to a device would just open the DRG menu and not the specific DRG. This has been fixed.
IG-2277 Switching Longitude and Latitude values used by a MAP widget, crashes the entire dashboard
Release notes
An issue has been fixed where providing invalid coordinates, such as switching latitude and longitude values, in the Map Widget could cause the entire dashboard to crash. The dashboard now remains stable, and the widget instead displays a warning indicating that the provided coordinates are invalid.
IG-2293 Clicking on Configure on a Alert groups/reports applied to a device does not open the specific object
Release notes
Fixed an issue where right-clicking a Report or Alert Group and selecting 'Configure' from the Configuration Schema of a device only opened the general menu. The shortcut now correctly navigates directly to the specific group's settings, streamlining your workflow
IG-2295 Deleting a company, will inform that devices will be deleted
Release notes
When deleting a company that included devices, a modal would say that the devices was deleted. Now, and according to the design, the modal informs that the devices in the company is moved to the first upper company when proceeding with the deletion of the company.
IG-2298 The edit report modal save button depends on initial state even after saving changes
Release notes
Resolved an issue where the Save button remained disabled when reverting a report to its original state within the same session. You can now freely toggle settings (like CSV vs. Link) or rename reports and save at every step
IG-2299 Conflict between different sections in user creation
Release notes
Fixed an issue where the bottom navigation bar (Cancel, Previous, Next) overlapped with the user creation tree structure on smaller laptop screens. The layout now adapts properly to ensure all controls remain visible and accessible.
IG-2305 Save button does not appear when changing title and/or description in Next-gen dashboard
Release notes
Fixed an issue on Next-Gen dashboards where the Save button failed to appear after editing a title or description. You can now successfully commit your changes.
IG-2317 Show timestamp on value-widget should also include the date
Release notes
An issue has been fixed in the Value Widget where enabling timestamp display showed only the time and not the date, which could make old data appear recent when devices had not reported data for an extended period. The widget now displays both date and time, ensuring it is clear when data was last received.
IG-2325 Non-filled required fields in Data refinement doesn't show error toastr.
Release notes
An issue has been fixed where saving a Data Refinement Group with required fields left empty did not show an error notification. Users will now receive an error message when attempting to save without completing required fields, clearly indicating that mandatory information must be filled before the Data Refinement Group can be saved.
IG-2329 Alert groups - not possible to create an alert group inside a sub company
Release notes
In the new Alert Group tree introduced in 6.4, when right-clicking a Subcompany and creating an Alert Group, that group is created in the root Company instead of the Subcompany that was right clicked on.
IG-2330 Time format consistent across the platform to ISO 8601
Release notes
Time pickers in the platform used different time formats. Now the global ISO 8601 format (Format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm) is used consistently across the platform
